Ascend Life Coaching

Trauma-informed coaching for young adults on every step of their journey

Are you 18 to 23 years old?

Are you currently experiencing issues with your Mental Health? Or are you experiencing challenges with low self-esteem, lack of confidence, conflict in your relationships, or possibly finding life generally challenging?

As a Nurse and now college teacher in Ireland, I have seen how those of you that have recently left school have a sense of freedom you may not have experienced before. You have more time to meet up with friends, socially engage with new peers and classmates, or even go to the gym or GAA. You have a sense of wanting to move forward in your life, leave the remnants of secondary school behind you and move towards the goals, dreams and plans you hold for yourself.

I have coached countless students that find this time challenging. While it can be exciting
and hold so much promise for you, it can also be littered with:

Identity Formation

You could be grappling with questions of identity, possibly figuring out who you are, what you believe in, and what you want from life.

Educational Challenges

you may be navigating higher education, which can be academically and socially demanding. The pressure to choose a career path and make major life decisions can be overwhelming.

Financial Pressures

Becoming financially independent, managing finances, budgeting, and dealing with student loans or entry-level salaries can be stressful.

Career Uncertainty

Finding a job that aligns with your interests and aspirations can be challenging and navigating your way through internships or entry level positions before finding a stable career path can also be daunting.

Relationships

You may be learning how to navigate more mature and complex relationships, friendships, romantic relationships, and family dynamics, some of which can be very stressful and is often the place where you are challenged.

Independence and Responsibility

Balancing newfound independence with responsibilities can be a struggle as you work your way through this time of transition.

Social Comparison

With the rise of social media, you may find yourself constantly comparing yourself to others. This can lead to feelings of inadequacy or a distorted sense of reality.

Health and Wellness

Establishing healthy habits and routines, including exercise and nutrition, becomes crucial

Navigating Cultural and Societal Expectations

You may grapple with societal expectations related to success, body image, and social norms. Balancing these expectations with personal values can be challenging.

The trauma informed coaching process is at its core about nurturing growth that extends beyond the superficial layers of change. It is a profound exploration of values, beliefs, and the stories we tell ourselves. With caring intention, I will guide you to unravel the narratives that may be holding you back, allowing you to rewrite your stories with newfound clarity and purpose.

I am committed to the holistic well-being of those I coach, recognizing that transformation is not solely about achieving external goals but also about cultivating inner harmony.

Let’s work together to prioritize your strategies for change, build tools for resilience and promote your self-esteem, confidence, positive emotional health, well-being and develop a road map to facilitate your personal growth.

We may not be responsible for the world that created our minds, but we can take responsibility for the mind with which we create our world. (GABOR MATE)
